Start of our history in shoe knowledge with the
establishment of a small shoe factory in Belgium
with the name ‘Cortina’.
1950
Launch of the Cortina Safety footwear collection.
As people mostly bought basic joggers to go to
work, we felt the need to develop footwear with
enhanced protection to help reduce the huge
risk of workplace hazards.
1981
Registration of the brand name Safety Jogger in
Benelux. A collection of high protection (safety)
athletic footwear (joggers) was born.
1990
Launch of the brand Safety Jogger in Europe,
with own distribution from our warehouse in
Belgium.
2000
Selling the first pair of Safety Jogger footwear
in Asia and ready for expanding our worldwide
distribution network.
2009
Development and manufacturing of the Safety
Jogger work gloves collection to protect more
than only people’s feet.
2011
Launch of Safety Jogger in Russia.
2014
Safety Jogger goes USA. To ensure our global
‘always-in-stock’ guarantee, we set up a brand
new warehouse in Anaheim, California.
2015
Investing in innovation and technology. Using
a 3D printer with state-of-the-art software to
develop faster and according to the highest
industry standards.
