recouvrent le front, le nez, la bouche et le
menton et comportent une partie oculaire;
leurs caractéristiques sont définies dans la
norme NF EN 136
• Les demi-masques
couvrent le nez,
la bouche et le menton et font l’objet de la
norme NF EN 140.
• Pour porter une pièce faciale telle qu’un
masque complet ou un demi-masque, il est
nécessaire de veiller à la bonne continuité du
joint facial. Les hommes seront correctement
rasés; on évitera l’interposition de cheveux,
de barbes ou de branches de lunettes (sinon,
le facteur de protection sera diminué).
• Les cartouches filtrantes
sur les masques font l’objet des normes
EN141 et EN14387 (filtres anti-gaz et filtres
combinés) et EN143 (filtres à particules) et
sont classés par code couleur, conformément
aux normes européennes, et par type de
filtration:
1 = capacité faible,
2 = capacité moyenne,
3 = grande capacité.
• Ne jamais utiliser un environnement dans
lequel la concentration d’oxygène est
inférieure à 17% Vol.

• Beim Tragen einer Atemschutzausrüstung,
wie z. B. einer Voll- oder Halbmaske ist
es notwendig, auf die Durchgängigkeit
einer guten Gesichtsabdichtung zu
achten. Männer müssen ordnungsgemäß
rasiert sein, da man damit vermeidet ein
Dazwischenkommen von Haaren, Bärten
oder Brillenbügeln (sonst verringert sich der
Sicherheitsfaktor) vermeidet.
• Filternde Patronen
unterliegen den
Normen EN141 und EN14387 (Gasfilter und
Kombinationsfilter) und EN143 (Partikelfilter)
und werden mit Kennfarben nach den
europäischen Normen und der Filterklasse
eingeteilt:
1 = geringer Schutz,
2 = mittlerer Schutz,
3 = hoher Schutz.
• Keinesfalls für den Einsatz in
Umgebungengeeignet, wo die
Sauerstoffkonzentration weniger
als 17 Vol.-% beträgt
• Full-face masks
cover the
forehead, nose, mouth and chin and have
an ocular part; their features are described
in the European standard EN136.
• Half-face masks
cover the nose,
mouth and chin and are described in the
European standard EN140.
• To wear a face mask like a full-face or a
half-face mask, it is necessary to make
sure that the sealing surface is completely
continuous to the face. Men must be
correctly shaved and any interposition of
hair, beard, or glasses temples must be
avoided (otherwise the assigned protection
factor will be reduced).
• Filtering cartridges
for the masks
comply with the European standards EN141
and EN14387 (antigas and combined
filtres) and EN143 (anti-aerosols) and are
labelled with colour-codes according to the
European standards and types of filtration:
1 = low capacity,
2 = medium capacity,
3 = high capacity.
• Never use the filtering masks in
atmospheres where the oxygen content is
lower than 17% Vol.
